Goal
Establish a sustained Chesapeake Bay science education experience for DCPS students that is based on HPL research and supports the DCPS curriculum and student success on the Maryland State Department of Education Science MSA.
The two part program will provide every 6th and 7th grade student in Dorchester County with a research-based, hands-on science experience. The professional development program for all 6th and 7th grade DCPS science teachers includes a 3-day summer workshop and two 1-day workshops which address the student learning activity. The student learning activities includes a field trip experience and pre-and post-trip classroom activities for all 6th and 7th grade DCPS students. |
