This picture shows our the ISCO 6700 Auto sampler in the Greensboro gauge house. The sampler contains 12 two liter bottles; four are used by USGS, and eight by us for taking daily samples (composited over a week). The intake tube runs from above the bottles down through a pipe in the bottom of the gauge house and out into the stream. This sampler has a modem and can be triggered to sample remotely by USGS or us.
