Computing Facility
Our group is equipped with a state-of-art
Linux cluster consisting of 24 processors and a host of high-end computer
workstations. They include:
(1) A linux
cluster with 24 processors, 30 GB RAM and 2 TB storage.
(2) Five Dell Precision Workstations
with dual processors at 2.0/2.4 GHz, 1 GB RAM, MS Window 2000/XP
operating system.
(3) Five Dell Precision Workstations
with dual processors at 2.0/2.4 GHz, 1 GB RAM, Linux
operating system.
(4) One Sun Blade 2000 Workstations
with dual processors at 1 GHz, 2 GB RAM, Solaris 8 Unix
operating system.
These computers are essential assets for
our research projects as we run forecasting models for estuaries and
coastal ocean and develop a new generation of fine-scale ocean models.
