Frost Days (Days with minimum temp < 32F)
Download Excel File - Includes monthly and seasonal frost day length for present and future scenarios and figures for Maryland and the Chesapeake Bay watershed
Notes:

- Presently frost days vary between 160 days per year on the Allegheny Plateau, to 70 days in Baltimore, and 80 days in the southern Chesapeake Bay region (source: MD State Climatologist). Thus, the 100 day value at present represents an average of these regional estimates. To determine model predicted Frost Days in a specific location, subtract 100 days from the model projection, and add in the 1979-2000 average number of frost days at your location.

- The points represent 20 year centered averages

the likelihood of a year with a given number of frost days is shown. There is a general trend toward greater likellihood of years with fewer than 125 frost days.
