| UMCES is a graduate institution without an undergraduate population. As such, I teach only graduate courses. With Bill Boicourt, I co-teach MEES 661, Physics of Estuarine and Marine Environments. This course is taught system wide across Maryland over an Interactive Video Network (IVN) system. My half of the course centers on geophysical fluid dynamics, atmosphere - ocean coupling, general circulation and water-mass properties, and climate. The second half centers more on waves, tides, and coastal and estuarine circulation. This course is aimed at non-physical oceanographers who have a calculus background. |
| I have also taught a seminar course with Ming Li on climate variability and change, as it affects processes within the Chesapeake Bay and its watershed. |
